We have an ongoing position for Training Officer, based in Warrnambool. The role offers flexible hours (28 to 38 per week), tailored to accommodate various schedules - ensuring an ideal fit for the right candidate. This position comes with a generous salary of $70,953.80 to $82,269.82 pro-rata p.a. plus superannuation.

What youll be doing

As the Training Officer, you will support the delivery Wannon Waters training and development programs, ensuring compliance and delivering new skills, knowledge, and capabilities required for business performance and individual growth. You will liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for enquiries and support.

On a day-to-day basis youll:

  • Coordinated Training Logistics: Schedule and organise training sessions, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Oversee Learning Management System: Develop in-house content tailored to our employee needs, maintain training records, and enhance the employee learning experience.
  • Support Safety Initiatives: Promote and implement new safety programs, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations.
  • Coordinate Water Industry Training: Organise and manage Water Industry Operator training programs.

We’re looking for someone with

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities and schedule an organisation-wide training program.
  • Experience with administering online learning platforms and developing eLearning content (ELMO experience highly desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to effectively engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in the administration and coordination of internal programs, in maintaining accurate records, data and reporting for compliance purposes.
  • Effective communication and computing skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain productivity, adaptability, and effectiveness amid evolving challenges and priorities.
